The Catedral and Lake District offer stunning scenery for skiing, with Refugio Frey being a top spot for ski touring and freeriding. Bariloche, located by Nahuel Huapi lake and surrounded by 6000ft mountains, is ideal for backcountry skiing. El Chaltén provides opportunities to climb and ski moderate mountains like Loma del Diablo and Cerro Vespignani, with views of Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre. These remote areas require ski touring experience and good fitness, as approaches involve walking and carrying skis. The Fitz Roy program includes flexible 2-3 day trips and one camping trip, adaptable to weather conditions.
