We´ll leave El Chaltén early in the morning, transfer to Hostería El Pilar. We´ll start hiking up the Rio Blanco Valley, pasing the “ Glacier Piedras Blancas” viewpoint. After passing the “Poincenot” camp, we will continue the steep ascent to Laguna de los Tres. The view from there its one of the best and nearest to mount Fitz Roy! After a lunch break, we´ll descent back to Poincenot campsite. Total of 6-7 hours of activity.
Poincenot campsite is a good spot to take pictures of Fitz Roy during sunrise! After breakfast, we will leave for our hike to Laguna Torre, passing by Lagunas Madre and Hija. The hike to Laguna Torre is about 3 hours and the idea is to have lunch there. If the weather allows, we will continue to Mirador Maestri , the main viewpoint of the mythical Cerro Torre and Glacier Grande. Afterwords, we´ll head back to Laguna Torre campsite. This hike will take 3 to 5 hours and has an elevation gain of 400m.
We´ll head back to El Chaltén, by Laguna Torre trail and Cerro Torre lookout. A total of 3hs hike.
